SERVICES AVAILABLE

1) Community Meals - meals for 32 + elderly people delivered to their homes 6 days per week

2) Community Lunch - offered regularly

3) Social, recreational, and other support offered as usual

4) Craft Group will be up and running again in winter

5) Matariki Celebration coming up on 4 June, Lyttelton Recreation Centre

WHAT WE NEED

Skilled people to assist people with putting together their CVs, more funding for Community Meals, donated food always gratefully accepted

GENERAL COMMENTS

Lyttelton Community House reopened within 2 weeks of February 22 after the building owners had the buildings assessed and the building was green stickered. It has a huge demand for its services at present, and we have taken on Community Meals, being cooked and delivered by volunteers to elderly people who have no family support. Lyttelton can be so easily cut off from Christchurch in an emergency, and its isolation means that our services are much more in demand now than ever before.
